The problem with Trump's comments to Trudeau is that British troops burned down the White House during the War of 1812. Historians note the British attack on Washington was in retaliation for the American attack on York, Ontario, in territory that eventually became Canada, which was then a British colony.

That's all very nice, but in the two centuries since, Great Britain no longer has the taste to defend herself, much less Canada, and Canada is led by a Leftist PC pacifist. I am certain there are millions of Canadians right now who wished our invasions of Canada had been more successful.

Thank ypu for assisting my overarching case, GySgt John Olson, that what occured 200 years ago is not terribly relevant to this peculiar circumstance.

And France was having a rough go in Mexico as it was, MAJ John Douglas. So, they really didn't need a whole lot of encouragement.

LTC John Wilson - They seem to have a "rough go" in a lot of places. Maybe they couldn't translate "I surrender" into Spanish?

Stupid to attack one of the most successful American presidents in recent history. It’s amazing how our hateful left would support literally anyone, rather than a president that if finally getting things done.

GySgt John Olson - It's an odd thing for him to do, Canada per say had anything to do with the burning of the White House , it was England.
