Thank you, my friend and brother-in-Christ SSG William Jones for posting the Billy Graham devotional for Friday, November 2, 2019 "Triumph in Affliction"
Physical affliction can indeed be debilitating. I have been involuntarily separated from my wife and young sons, divorced, terminated twice from long term employment, evicted a few times and other forms of affliction. Through it all by God's grace I not only survived but often thrived. the LORD brings joy in the midst of affliction.
Praise the LORD and Glory to HIS Name.

Many are the Afflictions of the Righteous

Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, but God said "My grace is sufficient". May we trust God's sustaining grace.

Good evening Brother Bill. Had a busy day and didn't really post a lot. As for the subject at hand I know about affliction. I have been through many afflictions but I give them to God and He has always taken them freely. My afflictions, as I look at them, are nothing compared to what Jesus went through for us, My little afflictions are to remind me that this life is only preparation for the day that I am called to my heavenly home.
Have a good evening and peace be with you and upon your house.

LTC (Join to see) - Amen. When my "afflictions" try to overwhelm me, I go read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and remind myself that I HAVE no "afflictions".

SP5 Jeannie Carle - The Gospels tell us that we will never suffer like our Savior did. What little I feel I offer up to God for the remuneration of my sins. And I can never pay the debt no matter however long I live. Jesus paid the price for me and us all. Thanks be to God.
