It is nearly the end of our R.E.D. Friday as we are moving quickly to the 4 o'clock hour in the Boston Area and it will be getting dark in about an hour or so... I want to leave you with some good music this afternoon and I am commencing it with a great song my Steve Perry and Journey with a song titled "Don’t Stop Believin’ " which is a part of Journey's Escape Tour 1981: Live In Houston...
Mini- Bio on "Don't Stop Believin' "
"Journey is an American rock band formed in 1973 in San Francisco by former members of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch. The band has gone through several phases; its strongest commercial success occurred between 1978 and 1987, after which it temporarily disbanded. During that period, the band released a series of hit songs, including 1981's "Don't Stop Believin'", which became in 2009 the top-selling catalog track in iTunes history. Its parent studio album, Escape, the band's eighth and most successful, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and yielded another of their most popular singles, "Open Arms". Its 1983 follow-up, Frontiers, was almost as successful in the United States, reaching No. 2 and spawning several successful singles; it broadened the band's appeal in the United Kingdom, where it reached No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart. Journey enjoyed a successful reunion in the mid 1990s, and later regrouped with a series of lead singers." Lyrics.com
LYRICS:
[Verse 1]
Just a small-town girl
Livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin' anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train goin' anywhere
[Instrumental]
[Verse 2]
A singer in a smoky room
The smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile, they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
[Pre-chorus}
Strangers waitin'
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searchin' in the night
Streetlight people
Libin' just to find emotion
Hidin' somewhere in the night
[Verse 3]
Workin' hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some are born to sing the blues
oh, the movie never ends
it goes on and on and on and on
[Pre-chorus]
Strangers waitin'
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searchin' in the night
Streetlight people
Livin' just to find emotion
Hidin' Somewhere in the Night
[Guitar Solo]
[Chorus]
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to that feeling
Streetlight people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on
Streetlight people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to that feeling
Streetlight people

Even though I was a country boy at heart, I do have many fond memories of some r&r groups.

There are only a few types of music that I don't like and one of them is RAP...and another is dark heavy metal... I just can't get into that...

Sgt (Join to see) did you know Blondie’s song “Heart if Glass” is considered to be one of the first RAP song? I like early RAP like Run DMC...Sgt (Join to see)

Sgt (Join to see) Needed it. Running around involved trying to find a light bulb for a refrigerator bin. Needed mini base and everything online and in box stores was medium base. Finally found one at Batteries Plus, it's rated a decorative bulb not a refrigerator bulb but it works.....for how long remains TBD.
