Among a host of old songs they have deemed problematic. On Jingle Bells, she claims “slave owners used to put bells on slaves to keep track of them, which the jingle bells are referencing.” RedState

Thank you my friend Lt Col Charlie Brown for posting the Salem Radio News Daybreak Insider extract focused on University of Nevada-Reno senior music lecturer Kate Pollard
According her to 'research'
Mainstays such as “Polly Wolly Doodle” and “Shortnin’ Bread,” her research revealed, are “tied…to blackface minstrelsy…” “Baa Baa Black Sheep,” Stephen Foster’s foistings — among them “Oh, Susanna” and “Camptown Races.” “America.”
Pollard told Campus Reform that “Jingle Bells” is problematic because she read that “slave owners used to put bells on slaves to keep track of them, which the jingle bells are referencing.”
Although there are no videos focused on senior music lecturer Kate Pollard, there are videos by professors claiming Jingle bells is racist since it was written by a confederate sympathizer.

It is my understanding that bells were put on slaves because their dark skin blended into the deep southern snow and slaves could get lost in the deep drifts and freeze! Actually bells were placed on sleds because vision in snow storms etc was reduced. With bells you could another slay approaching. If you look for racism hard enough you can find it in any thing.
