Well, the AF & Navy AIT would have encompassed almost a year; so, realistically I would have only been permanent party for a little over four years. Did Not Know then what I know Now! It’s ALL good!TSgt David L.

I Know! I also was injured in Basic; however, was still qualified to hold my MOS! I had the ‘Ace’ to play if I needed and I used it when the cG ‘killed’ six soldiers during peace time because He WAS CRAZY!SMSgt Lawrence McCarter

After the swearing in at the Federal Building in Pittsburgh, a guy said “Every fifth guy step forward. You are now Marines”. Missed me by one.

If I got chosen to be a Marine, I probably would not have got sent to Nam. Most Marines were gone in 1971.
