In a prior OCS packet i get medical disqualified. For the lack of knowledge and orientation in the lowest level i was in the impression of this was the end of my goal of became an Office. After a year, my BN CDR, advised me to start the process again and summit a medical waiver. I start the process and summit a new OCS packet and a medical waiver for MAY2021 selection board. I get recommended by my unit board and my packet get summited to HRC back in JAN21. Now I am waiting for that medical waiver get approved by the HRC MED.
This is my real concern. What happen is I don’t get the waiver approved by the time the OCS selection board are conducted? (Basically next week 11-14MAY21).
A lot of lack of information about this process. The only info I received from HRC POC was “Your waiver is still being processed”.

As long as you submitted your waiver on time to the correct people you'll get an answer on time. The steps in the board are designed to have everything fall in place in time for the board to convene.

On a side note, if you plan on becoming an officer you need to take some writing courses. I understand that English may not be your first language but you cannot expect to be an officer and communicate effectively with this writing. You're mixing words for other words that don't fit (submit not summit). You're mixing up past, present, and future tense. You're mixing up idioms (under the impression vs in the impression). Your written instructions will be crucial to conveying your instructions to your subordinates.

SSG (Join to see) I would say that it speaks more of your character to try to attack me, especially on a professional level. I suggested a constructive improvement. Army writing requires practice. Instead you chose to use this as a moment to feel insulted. You responded by making personal attacks, and accomplishments dropping. Congratulations on your PhD Thesis, thank you for telling us all about your enrollment (that you're not yet actually enrolled in) in a prestigious program. You have certainly shown me that you are far more accomplished than I am.

Since you asked, the reason it took so long to make it to SFC is that I made it twice. Back before the current OML system your name came out on a list once a year. I made SFC in my Secondary Zone (meaning I was way ahead of my 68W peers) at the same time I reclassed to be a Career Counselor. I had to accept the SFC and revert back to a 68W or decline the promotion and keep my new MOS 79S. Since 79S was more competitive it took me another year or two of accomplishments to add to my resume (Career Counselor of the Year for 82nd, 18th ABN Corps and FORSCOM, Jumpmaster, Sergeant Audie Murphy) before I was on the next list. When you were selected on the promotion list it could be up to a year and a half till you promoted. So, that's what took so long, I did it twice.

As for you making SFC, I seriously doubt that. But maybe you would. Good for you. The Army would have a seriously inexperienced leader with insecurity issues, but you would have that rank to show all those perceived haters.

Ask yourself, if my response was so far off base, then why is it that almost everyone who voted it up was a senior officer? My boss is always a CSM. My Senior Rater is COL. Every Counselor works with CPTs and above exclusively in our daily duties. I have spent the last ten years communicating through email daily with Company to Brigade level officers. If someone who has been there for ten years tells you this is what you need to be successful, you might want to put some padding on your thin skin because the Officer world will chew you up. If your medical waiver passes you're probably not going to end up as some MI PL, you'll probably end up as some Combat Arms PL, possibly Branch Detailed, with a Commander chewing your ass just because.

Before you let your ego get control of you and say things that are petty and attempting to be intentionally hurtful like you feel sorry for the people I counsel - maybe you should take a step back and take stock of the situation. Why do I have such a high rating on here that is exclusively from answering questions and getting kudos for my specific and accurate answers? Since you've joined the Army I've counseled more Enlisted in accessing into Commissioned and Warrant Officers programs than officers you've met. Little known fact: I've been rated as the "#1 Career Counselor I've ever worked with" by every single Rater and Senior Rater who have ever rated me. Also, dogs and small kids like me, so I'm probably doing something good with my life. Maybe you should look around and see how you're actually making your organization better instead of trying to accumulate trophies to prove to everyone how awesome you are.

Querido hermanitoSSG (Join to see). Yo soy igual que tu. Soy cubano por parte de mi mamá, inmigrante igual que tu, inglés fue mi tercera idioma. Entiendo tus puntos completamente.

SFC Boyd has a valid point about your writing skills. SSG Toribio, you need to take it with a grain of salt and move on. bottom line, if you are planning to be an officer you need to sharpen those skills.
To answer your question. I am in the same boat and had to get eye surgery medical waiver. When they needed more paperwork I was contacted through my OCS Unit POC. If nobody contacted you, I would assume that your waiver is fine.
If your unit OCS POC is good as mine he/she should have all the answers for you. Also I needed age waiver. I was told by my POC that it was approved

I can only speak from experience, I had a physical board, and I missed it due to Covid the First time and the second time I needed an eye waiver. I couldn't even complete my package without a clear on “all boxes.” I needed to be a medical LVL 1 or 2 and had mild amblyopia, so I needed a waiver, and after that, I was given the all-clear to start my board. My eye waiver came in, and in the month after, I was allowed to do the board. So, from my humble experience, I don't think you can.

My current profile confuses me as well, I’m currently in a very weird transition phase, that why it may be so confusing.
