Canada is raising its carbon taxes 500% in the next decade. So far (in the last 2 years)it has added about a dollar a gallon to the price of gasoline and about $20 a month to my monthly heating bill.

Canadians get about $500 back on their Income taxes but greedy British Columbia keeps the money. I suspect 11 American States charging carbon taxes are not going to be as generous as the Canadian Government.

Businesses have to pass higher prices along to the consumer. 2 provinces failed to convince the Canadian Supreme Court that this tax was unconstitutional. To me, it's a tax and spend scam. It is ironic that Biden administration does not consider China and Russia as the biggest existential threat but does consider climate change as its biggest existential threat. It is my belief this current administration will impose carbon taxes across-the-board.

I am the American Canary in the Canadian coal mine warning you what not to do. The current administration thinks they have a bright idea but they don't realize the 2nd and 3rd order of effects.

In the latest Fox News poll, the economy, illegal immigration and one's tax bill were rated a higher concern than Climate Change.

The United States has lowered its carbon footprint by a drastic amount yet this administration wants us to feel guilty when they overlook how other countries like China and India are not complying and saying yes but doing nothing. Why should we pay? Let the markets decide on when we should switch over to electric vehicles and continue to use fossil fuels like natural gas. We should not be bent over and charged carbon taxes like the Canadians are doing to me. Other States are doing it in the continental us and I wouldn't be surprised they are going to get greedy and copy the Canadian tax and spend scam.

Republicans and democrats should unite and prevent the Biden administration from raising taxes across-the-board and weakening our economy with his social Justice initiatives that go against economic common sense.

Much to my surprise, President Clinton also lowered capital gains tax to 20% and that was the last time the US budget had a surplus. Modern democrats do not want to admit this success because they are brainwashed in pricing themselves out of the market to destroy our economy. They may not realise this or do this on purpose but Raising taxes higher than your European allies only makes the United States lose jobs have businesses go abroad. The British rock stars that left England decades ago will also be leaving the USA to find cheaper tax havens.
