But it is the uniform that he wore for 26 years that is never far from his heart.
The retired U.S. Army First Sergeant carries with him a pride in the uniform and the men and women he served with.
He is now blending the home remodeling skills he’s learned with a new program designed to help veterans stay in their homes.
“Can we make their homes more comfortable? Can we keep them in their homes? Can we do something for those that have served us?” says Jason Hafeman, Outreach Manager for Project Home.
The organization is working to identify honorably discharged military veterans with low to moderate incomes needing work on their homes.What do you think?
“We are going to focus on our core work which is accessibility modifications, health and safety related home repairs and energy efficiency improvement to make their home more affordable and comfortable,” says Hafeman.
