Does anybody here have a personal preference when it comes to your "piece"? I guess what I am getting at is, is there a company or manufacturer that you prefer in terms of styling, performance, reliability, warranty, etc in defense of your family, self, home, property or concealed-carry? Me? I am a die-hard Smith & Wesson fan without question for my own reasons. What about you all? No big deal. Just making conversation cuz I'm bored.

Oh, and Glock. Can't beat the price and it's reliable and light

CPT Jack Durish - Glock uses an "unsupported chamber" design that often deforms brass and prevents reloading. Reloading and sailing are the two most relaxing pursuits in life.

Ruger seems to be a popular pick.

SFC James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" Security 9 for winter, and the Ruger Security 9 Compact anytime. I really like my 1911 Colt, but it only holds half the ammo as the full size Ruger.
