Congress has abrogated its own authority. It should be challenging Presidential authority through Executive orders, from both Republican and Democratic parties.

I have long disagreed with the entire concept of EO's. I could agree on some under very limited situations, and then only if Congress is not in session.
However, along with that, we need a Congress that is more willing to compromise to get things done.

Honestly, I think the more radical ideas espoused by some will be quashed in the House, not the Senate. The margin there is too small to get the kind of sweeping changes that have been proposed.
The bigger deal with the Senate is how nominees to the Federal bench get approved.
