Do transgender women and girls have a constitutional right to play on women's sports teams? That question will be argued before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday.
The landmark case stems from an Idaho law passed last year — the nation's first transgender sports ban.
For plaintiff Lindsay Hecox, a student at Boise State University, the answer to that question is clear. She is transgender, and Idaho's law, if upheld, would prohibit her from competing on women's teams.
"I'm just a 20-year-old girl, and I just want to be able to compete," she says. "It was just so blatantly wrong for politicians to legislate this."

Some of you are almost there at least not misgendering her but she's not a man. So she can't join the men's teams. There's no evidence that trans women have any advantage over cis women. There are trans women competing losing to cis women every single day. But you never hear about it - you only hear the few times they win.

As always, your an imbecile. Males have an inarguable advantage over females in nearly every single physical sport. Males are, on average and at the extremes, stronger and faster, in addition to several biological differences in the way of bone density, muscle fibers, and lung capacity. To deny any of this is to admit you haven't bothered to read a single paper published in the last century. Yet again, you prove that you don't care about the facts. You care that reality bends to your preferred politics. You're a cynical twit, and an ignorant one at that.

I love mental midgets who say trust the science and then when are given the science they challenge the science.
You don’t have to like the fact that trans people have a competitive advantage in female sports but you cannot ignore the facts. There have been several studies most cited below in the comments. Deal with it, your cognitive dissonance is irrelevant.

SPC (Anonymous) where is the science? The Air Force study shows just the opposite. I’m not a bigot, I simply think we should follow the science and common sense. I’m not sitting in my cognitive dissonance because I want to believe something so bad I will ignore all evidence against my opinion. I don’t hide behind an anonymous name. Downvote all you want, getting your feelings hurt doesn’t make you right. Grow up.

and here we see one of the mental midgets I was referring to. Have a wonderful day. Sleep well hiding behind your anonymous postings. I disagree with you so I must be a bigot. Typical liberal answer.

SGT Robert Wager - Here we see those that always say trust the science but when it disproves their theory and point, they say it is garbage or it was done wrong, or something else. Either trust science or don't. Plus take into account the chicken that won't post their actual name or photo...well if you aren't willing to stand on your name and identity then that credibility is gone with me...I have received down votes from them before so I just ignore their comments and move out.

No, there is no constitutional right, but we have legislation, i.e. title IX, that protects female sports. Allowing biological boys into female sports effectively makes the aforementioned legislation void. The government must make the choice between title IX protections or caving to the transgender lobby.
