Nothing to do with her promotion , but it is something that the military can to be proud of that now it can happen at all. We have come a long way

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Marines did not have any African Americans prior to 1941.

Reading her background and her present position, she has a lot of education and experience. I can see why General Mattis wants her to be a one-star general

Breaking the glass ceilings one step at a time. I hope we finally see more women of any race in charge. Male Combatant Commanders better watch out......this is long overdue
