Things that make you wonder: Since 99.999% of drivers do not go out of their way to hit bicyclists, why do some bicyclists go out of their way to try and make it happen?

Unfortunately the same is true for a small number of motorcyclists.

Have you seen the condition of some of these “bike paths”. I do not go out of my way to try and get hit, but i will ride in road 95% of the time. I do follow rules of the road and stat as far to the right whenever conditions dictate.

In these days of "texting while driving", you're taking your life out of your own hands and riding on faith alone. In Tampa recently, the Mayor decided to expand the bike lanes and make them wider; the bicyclists responded to this gift by riding double or triple abreast now, making lane expansion moot. I have nothing against bicyclers personally, but some of the things I see them do when I'm driving boggles my mind.

Expanding bikes lanes is a good idea. If the cyclists are training to ride in a group then they are going to ride abreast of one another. If they are going outside the bike lanes then thta can be alright too, as long as when they are outside they are following rules of the road. I hope you also notice some of the boggling things that cage drivers are doing too. PO1 John Johnson
