I have a friend who's father died and the funeral home is requesting a DD214 ASAP for burial which is tomorrow. He is being buried in Fairfield, North Carolina. It would be nice to see the Veteran buried with Military Honors. What should I tell him? Any help is greatly appreciated.

or if all fails try county clerks office. I have a copy there just in case. they might too.

I did that also. My copy is here in Orange County just in case family ever need it. Took like 0 minutes and totally worth it. It was also free

Also see if that county has a Veterans Service Officer.
