Currently an E-6 in Recruiting, with 11 years of service. Turned down E-7 with intent to exit and pursue new goals. Wanted to make sure this decision doesn't affect my chance to get back in, even though the damage is done at this point I suppose.

You'll simply ETS, there's no RE code or anything, but your SPD code will reflect that you signed a declination statement. If you're in recruiting, then you know how it affects trying to get back in. The statement has all the counseling on it. I don't know why you would leave at 11 years if you want to get back in.

Signing a Dec Statement will not affect your DD 214 in any way negatively. It will also not negatively affect any chances of coming back in. I know, because I speak from personal experience.

You’ll ge a RE-3 Code. At least it was my case back in 1996. 3 years later, I commissioned and back in active duty.
