The only comment I have on this article is, when you lose a family member or buddy to suicide, their memory lives on in your life forever, and you wonder if you could have done something to prevent it.
There is only one comment and have for this topic. I've been there and lost friends. When one of your family members or buddies commits suicde, it's lives inside you the rest of your life and you wonder if you could have dome anything to prevent it.
It was the morning of Paul’s funeral, and John, Sean, and I sat outside our hotel in Salt Lake City waiting for Benny to roll out of bed. He’d been out late at a strip club; I hadn’t felt like going. Maybe in my younger days, maybe on a different day, but Paul had been family—as family as being in the same platoon during a war deployment could make him—and we had just road tripped for 24 hours across the country to tell him goodbye.

I know the pain. It's a hole on the heart that never totally heals. It is so sad.

I think I can share a little there. I made an attempt myself once. They absolutely lose all hope. They see no way out of the pain, whatever it is. At least that's what it was to me, and I have talked to others now who say the same. You want free of the pain and want peace.

It's never easy to get over the loss of a good friend, or relative. Keep their memories in your heart and mind.
