"Bring The Boys Home", by Freda Payne is the song that did it for me. Because of the opportunity to co-host a series about veterans, suicide prevention, PTSD, Depression, and suicidal ideation on WIZS.com Town Talk, I realize that honoring the veterans from that time of war is important because many people supported them being brought back home. The owner John C. Rose has allowed his Talk Show, Town Talk to be a vehicle to honor us veterans and our sacrifices. The show is not only impacting the veteran community, but the First Responder Community, the Essential Worker Community, local communities, and global communities through the Internet. Through the opportunity to produce this series, I have invited veterans and civilians from RallyPoint to be interviewed. So far, COL Mikel J. Burroughs and @Tsgt Steven Bates have been interviewed. Go to https://wizs.com/towntalk/ and scroll through Town Talk Archives and look for the interviews. Please post your song so that I can see if I can make a show out of them.

I remember a scene from "Tour of Duty" where a USO band was playing that song and watching the reactions of the GIs was pretty powerful. 'Tour of Duty" was great show.

A DeHavilland Mosquito? Relevant? Does anyone really think that a 'sky pilot' isn't a chaplain?

LTC Stephen F. - The first two notes of "For What It's Worth" immediately bring to mind grunts walking through rice paddies and students protesting the war. Those first two notes pack a lot of punch.

Paranoid Eyes - Pink Floyd I think it was released early 80s but always resonated with me for Veterans.

LTC (Join to see) I just listened to Paranoid Eyes. It sent waves over me. It does resonate as a song for veterans, although the reference is to a schoolmaster who has lost his dreams. BUT, it references a list of war songs, to include Paranoid Eyes. If I am not mistaken it is a picture of the album cover, "Pink Floyd the Final Cut" that has uniform ribbons on it. In fact the songs listed are the track songs. This is a very powerful and beautiful song.
