I've had both MRE's and C-Rations. MRE's are a definite improvement on taste and flavor over C-Rations but still not to the point where one enjoys them better than the Hot Rations. Some exceptions to the rule. Chicken A'LA King which I don't think they make anymore as a MRE, tasted and looked like vomit when it was cold.....much worse than a C-Ration. Ham and Eggs C-Rations I thought were gross and never ate them beyond the first taste.

SSG Donald H "Don" Bates: Ham and mofos with rice paddy water. Sounds soooo enticing. My husband corrected me and said soooo explosive. Hmmmmm.
