Just in case you haven't noticed, the source is Fox news, so please don't automatically refuse to read this article due to any perceived bias.
Trump's plans to "reform" social security will be a disaster to most senior citizens. Benefits will be cut, retirement funds will shrivel, and many of our nation's most vulnerable citizens will be left to fend for themselves.
This is due to the GOP love affair with privatizing everything. Sometimes, there are some things which should absolutely NOT be privatized, and social security benefits are one of them.
What is especially ironic is that many of the older generation were the ones who voted Trump into office in the first place. They will be some of the first ones to suffer from his policies as well.

Many of those who need ObamaCare voted for Trump even as he was betraying them by promising to repeal ObamaCare. Many blue collar workers who need a higher minimum wage voted form Trump who betrayed them by appointing Puzder, a man who doesn't believe in any minimum wage or overtime pay, as Labor Secretary. Many people who had their homes foreclosed on voted for Trump who betrayed them by appointing Mnuchin, the guy who made millions foreclosing on people's homes, as Treasury Secretary. Many active duty military and military veterans voted for Trump who betrayed them by appointing Tillerson, the Exxon/Mobil millionaire CEO who publicly proved his disloyalty to the United States at least three times, as Secretary of State. Trump doesn't give a shit about anyone who isn't at least a millionaire unless they can either protect him or make him richer. Those who voted for Trump just didn't do any research. They believed what he said without realizing his lips were moving, which is always a bad sign.

SFC Wade W. - I believe Republicans had 16 other options. If you voted for Trump in the primary race, you restricted your own options. If you didn't and didn't want Trump, Clnton, or any of the others, perhaps you should have voted for a write-in candidate.

Where in hell are you getting your information? The Executive Branch can't take money from the Social Security Trust Fund. G W Bush returned millions to each of the 1% and $100 or $200 to some of the other 99%. Prove one case of an illegal immigrant or Syrian refugee getting Social Security. And I don't believe you have a clue about how much each welfare recipient has paid into the Social Security Fund.

Seems we got an illegal worker sympathizer... those that steal jobs from Americans. It doesn't matter if it's jobs Americans didn't really want unless it was the last resort, it was jobs that would have been there for them to go for when they ran out of other options.

They were doing it Sarge, right under our noses. They do a "tail wagging the dog" scenario and convert the stolen funds.. we don't read about it until 6 months later and it's buried on page 4 somewhere.
