I’m prior service Marine 0311 coming into the Army 11B. I’m trying to update my ERB.
I was told my deployments do don’t count, time in service, and don’t rate some of my ribbons.

I will be straight up with you. You have a leg up. 11B loves Marines, and you have every chance to excel. The ribbons... no one cares, sure points, but that will come fast. If you focus and plan, you can grab all the army ribbons you want, not a big deal. IN fact look toward badges, diversify... be A trainer, or something.
Be the professional infantry soldier, ignore the bar and drinkers, and just be the best you can be. Do that... the rest will come faster than you could expect.

Short and sweet. Your Marine deployments don't qualify you for the Army Overseas Service Ribbon, you don't get to wear a Marine division patch for Former Wartime Service (officially) because Marines don't wear division patches anymore. If you have the CAR, wear it with pride. Best of Luck!

That is true. Check out AR 600-8-22 and AR 670-1 to see what you can wear.
