I got more than a few that are humorous,sad,and outright unbelievable but unfortunately don’t think I could do them justice on this one post, the downside of being an old guy .

SSgt Ethan Mace-Alright here’s an old guy’s story my good friend and I a certain Spec4 Tony Vitale were on LP in the Central Highlands, during the night sounds were heard all around our position since we were not allowed to fire our weapons and we had brought along a case of M26 frags which we used in abandon,morning brought evidence of a troop of monkeys,needless to say the LT and battalion commander were not pleased by our expenditure of ordinance,then there’s the time of a river crossing and a charging water buffaloe,but I digress.

A quick one: 11B Basic training Fort Benning, GA, week before graduation, 23 of us was waiting on orders to Korea. We all where called into formation, 13 names where called out, an asked to step forward by the drill Sgt., so we did, next thing we heard was, "Thank you for volunteering" you are here an extra five weeks to become 11M. After graduation we stayed barracks and walked up to the company that was in AIT training for 11M.

After a year in too being a 11M, the MOS was resign to under 11B. My theory is that females where getting to close of seeing, that an Bradley driver, Gunner, TC was able to hold female soldier, and had the ability to drive in drop soldier's off and return to base when need. but that just my theory.
