We know She is worried about the pipeline leaking but she cannot be Caesar and arbitrarily shut it down without going to the courts first. There is a treaty between the US and Canada and this would be a catastrophic damage to relations by a woke governor who does not I understand because she always works by decree.

Sure, she can. There's no requirement under current law for her to go to the courts.

Capt Gregory Prickett - in order for it to be enforced it will need an order issued by a judge and as the governor’s order has been challenged by Enbridge in U.S. federal court its rather unlikely any court is going to grant Whitmer’s request for an injunction shutting down Line 5.

Capt Gregory Prickett this is a Department of State issue. They have jurisdiction.

LTC (Join to see) - Oh? So the State of Michigan has no authority over an easement that Michigan granted to the predecessors of Enbridge to allow them to emplace a pipeline on state property? Gee, I'm so glad to hear that. Does that mean that the federal government can arbitrarily control the property of others, without due process or compensation? Isn't that a violation of the Constitution?

And didn't Enbridge and the State enter into several contracts on the issue, in 2017 and 2018, after an anchor strike damaged the pipeline? And correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the pipeline run over Michigan land from Gogebic to Marysville? The Department of State may be involved, but they don't have the right to order that contracts be voided. Especially not within the state of Michigan. Further, the location of the pipeline under the lake is bordered on both sides by Michigan. It's an interior waterway, not an international boundary.

Great, She gets caught violating Her own rules so She changes them so She is no longer a violator. What is it with people like this also cutting of Oil flow that effects both Canada and the United States in a very negative way ? It seems there is a problem with individual morons that seem to exert power they have no right to even dictate. Another one that need to be not only stopped but also removed from office.

Doesn't matter. She violated the rules BEFORE she rescinded them.

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - Yep, Rules are just for other people, She still does whatever She wants. We actually said the same thing.
