And exactly how would it be done? Would you go quietly into the night, and give up your guns if a law required it?

PFC Michael Korach I love the image, but in my head I heard it with the rasping Darth Vader breathing, which kind of made me smile. This is an argument that should make itself. Crime is illegal, if criminals obeyed the law, then we would have no need for prisons, police, or defending ourselves against criminals (not even going to get into the second amendment here). Criminals don't obey the law. Innocent people are harmed by crime. Criminals will choose the easiest available target. Gun Free zones don't work. Common sense. Too bad Common Sense was the first thing to die in Washington.

I wonder if they are considering confiscating free speech, assembly, religion, the press and others too. I mean, if they want totalitarianism why not go all they way. Once they have the guns, the rest gets pretty easy. Some people would do well to remember that.

It's sad that the home of the Boston Massacre would even entertain this type of idea. I'm from Massachusetts, born and raised, but even I am disappointed that the birthplace of the Constitution would be the first to call for burning it.

CPl Goolsby, I'm also from Massachusetts both and raised and in a family that has been in Massachusetts from 1640 to the present day. Three members of My family had marched from Sudbury, Massachusetts to old North Bridge in Concord to battle the British there on April 19th 1775. It is very disturbing to see these people that just fail to understand anything about those rights and exactly why the were placed there by our forefathers. It wasn't about hunting it was being armed to regain control if the government got out of control. Confiscation of firearms had never worked well by those that lost the firearms.
