Going trout fishing if this rain stops.
4 or 5 of these little rainbows would go great for dinner tonight.

I love your state. Good bass and catfishing country for sure. Living in Oregon fishing is a way of life for most residents. Salmon, smelt, scourge, halibut, tuna, bass, steelhead and trout up to 40lbs. (Lake Trout) My closest trout stream and lake is about 30 min. away.
For pan fried trout I prefer fish about 8-10" long.

SSgt Terry P. - Remember the pay trout pond at Bucksnort towards Nashville? I never went but saw it often on I40. I think they caught many or kernel corn.

LTC Lee Bouchard - Don't forget sturgeon. up to 400 pounds. I was born in Portland, first fish dad cut my line - either that or fetch me from the water - which is where I was heading - quickly!

They get bigger than 400lbs. I have seen pictures of monster sturgeon over 1,000ibs. Smoked fish of any kind is to die for. Including shark.
I'm sure your dad made the best choice. Maybe had other thoughts when you were a troublesome teenager. HA!
