Are you asking for us to list what we'd do in order? Or list what I think is important?
GF is a specific type of diet, and I'd also look for LCHF.

LCHF is different from Paleo, allows more food types. Look up Tim Noakes, MD especially if you're on Twitter for more info.

Intermittent fasting is also a viable option. Much better than just cut back or skipping meals. It's more methodical and the goal is weekly caloric intake rather than daily intake.

MAJ Charles Blake - Okay, so add LCHF, Paleo, and fasting.

Would you know of any preferred foods and restaurants for those on such diets?

SGT (Join to see) - lots of restaurants offer GF menu options; some offer paleo choices but that's rare. LCHF is more of a state of mind; avoid sugar eat animal fats and proteins and limit carbs to vegetables and fruit.
Restaurants are sort of against the whole intermittent fasting option...

Sgt Steven Thomas - I read apple cider vinegar and honey in water can help with kidney stones. Have you tried it?

MAJ Charles Blake - Thanks. I'll probably ask you more questions tomorrow.

Well I'd take vegetarian off the list since there's no real health value to it. You just have to work twice as hare to get the necessary amino acids you need for a good well-balanced diet.
