I am an MS2 and wanted to know if I still need to train for the APFT even though the army is switching to the ACFT next year. Also, will the ACFT be taken for record at advance camp next year?

Absolutely train for both. The ACFT start date has been pushed a year once already, and it could easily happen again. With the latest statistics showing that 85% of females failed the hanging leg tucks, the Army will likely give an additional year till they implement the ACFT in full force. During that time it's very possible that they will leave the APFT in place and use that for scoring purposes. For instance, the Marines have an APFT for scoring and an ACFT for PASS/FAIL and it's possible the Army could use some similar approach until they feel the Soldiers have been given adequate time to transition. It takes the Army years just to transition from one uniform to another, it's not unreasonable to expect it to take years to transition to a new fitness test.

ACFT doesn't go LIVE until October 2020. If your camp is prior to that, then it would probably be a diagnostic. But your Cadre could have other ideas. Best recommendation.....train for both.

Until 01 October 2020 the APFT is still the test for record. You should begin preparing for the ACFT if you have not done so already, as the Army will be giving 2 diagnostics during this FY. Training for the ACFT will also improve your APFT score, and total all around fitness. If you need a program, SOFLETE has an ACFT prep program that I use for my platoon PT just about everyday.
