Perhaps a "Notice with Reason" should be required to be sent to anyone blocked. I don't doubt that many will not state the true reason, "I don't like being shown that I am wrong", and descend into name-calling, but at least they will have to go "on record".

In looking over the source of the dispute, I see your introduction was an urging of "Conservatives", "2A Advocates", and "Constitutionalists" to vote. Those three groups may overlap quite a bit, but I see no justification for the focus in a comment on only one group you mentioned, other than to rationalize a gratuitous insult:

"Funny how everything is about the 2nd Amendment, according to gun nuts."

It looks to me the "first poop" was flung by that commenter.

COL David Turk - No such thing on Parris Island. Not only would the DIs laugh it out of existence, the "salty" boots with a month of training behind them would sneer at the idea.

Quite the mind-blower - I went thru BCT @ Jackson in the summer of 1968.

COL David Turk - They started it in the Navy, too. When the 1st crop of "yellow card trained" sailors came on board, I was the Chief Engineer. I seem to remember running an incredibly difficult fire drill, and was yelling in their face "There ain't no yellow cards here! Fire doesn't care about your stress card."
