I have a person who had been an ardent supporter of mine, unexpectedly block me for a reason I can not get. A friend inquired for me and was told that they sent me a message, which is not true and I’m still blocked. Go figure.

Perhaps a "Notice with Reason" should be required to be sent to anyone blocked. I don't doubt that many will not state the true reason, "I don't like being shown that I am wrong", and descend into name-calling, but at least they will have to go "on record".

PO3 Bob McCord - Speaking of name-calling, I added a P S to my original reply. Here it is again.

In looking over the source of the dispute, I see your introduction was an urging of "Conservatives", "2A Advocates", and "Constitutionalists" to vote. Those three groups may overlap quite a bit, but I see no justification for the focus in a comment on only one group you mentioned, other than to rationalize a gratuitous insult:

"Funny how everything is about the 2nd Amendment, according to gun nuts."

It looks to me the "first poop" was flung by that commenter.

COL David Turk - No such thing on Parris Island. Not only would the DIs laugh it out of existence, the "salty" boots with a month of training behind them would sneer at the idea.

COL David Turk - That certainly wasn't in effect while I went through basic in '83. We didn't get participation trophies either.

COL David Turk - I remember learning of the "time-out" cards in the mid-1990s.
Quite the mind-blower - I went thru BCT @ Jackson in the summer of 1968.

COL David Turk - They started it in the Navy, too. When the 1st crop of "yellow card trained" sailors came on board, I was the Chief Engineer. I seem to remember running an incredibly difficult fire drill, and was yelling in their face "There ain't no yellow cards here! Fire doesn't care about your stress card." They hated me, but to their credit, they didn't give up. SGT (Join to see)
