I'm looking for a 12ga, semi-auto shotgun.
I would be using it for club 3-gun matches (definitely not a pro), home defense (not primary weapon), and maybe some bird hunting. I know that's a wide variety of uses, so I guess I'm looking for a good GP shotgun.
What are your suggestions?

I agree with Chief Cardwell, you can't go wrong with a Benelli.

I'd say great minds think alike, Sir, but nobody wants to be lumped in with scooter trash like me! LOL

Price alone has it on my short list.

Love my Mossberg 930 JM Pro also. BUT would be too long for home defense. Benelli M4 with Surefire stock and light mounted. Awesome home defense.

Was using my Benelli for 3 gun and it didn't compare to the 930. The long barrel and capacity is a must for 3 gun.

i'm not a three gun guy but my overall favorite GP semi shotgun is a Yildiz. Yildiz is a Turkish brand and very reasonably priced. I have both over & under and a semi and have put hundreds of rounds through them. More than a thousand shells through my O&U and they still shoot like new.

I actually have a HugSan and a couple of Huglu O/Us from Turkey. Love them!

MSgt Cayle Harris IMHO, the Turks make wonderful firearms. My only complaint is that they have limited distribution in the U.S. I have even contacted the Yildiz company directly asking for a list of distributors with minimal luck.

MAJ (Join to see) I agree. The Turks make some great shotguns. I'm fairly certain there are a few models being imported under another brand.
