I pray for a sufficient increase of the Fruit of the Spirit kindness, gentleness, and self-control for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it dear LORD. Thank YOU, LORD for setting each of us free by YOUR atonement. I pray that YOU use us to demonstrate freedom to those we interact with through a demonstration of selfless love and respect for each person we meet ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another.’ [Romans 15:13-14 ESV]
I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! “May they be secure who love you! I pray that YOU bring as much peace and true justice in Kabul. I pray that YOU restrain the vindictive impulses of Taliban and ISIL and Al-Qaeda. I pray that the terrorists will fight against each other and YOU will protect the innocent. ‘And the people will oppress one another, everyone his fellow and everyone his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and the despised to the honorable. {Isaiah 3:5 ESV] I pray that no civilians will die or be killed without a personal relationship with YOU. I pray that YOU bless those who are working to extricate these individuals and families with wisdom, skill, discernment and success as they do all that is necessary to recuse those in peril. ‘keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.’ [Jude 1:21-23 ESV]
LORD I pray that YOU guide each of us to comfort the grieving widow, widower, seriously injured, and the seriously ill in our midst as we are able. Lead us by YOUR grace to help others we intersect with in our daily walk. Open our eyes to those who need encouragement and comfort and guide each of us to whomever YOU know we should encourage, comfort, and/or sit quietly with them and listen to them. 'So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind. [Philippians 2:1-2 ESV]
LORD I lift each child, man and woman being trafficked, each sex slave, each involuntarily indentured servant, and other slaves and abused person in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Central & South America, Africa, Middle East, UK, Ireland, Eurasia, southwest Asia, India, southeast Asia, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand to YOU. I pray that YOU enable authorities to work across national and international boundaries to identify, capture the traffickers and brothel owners, free those trapped there and shed light to honest judges to enable the abusers to be imprisoned quickly. ‘He who is bowed down shall speedily be released; he shall not die and go down to the pit, neither shall his bread be lacking.’ [Isaiah 51:14 ESV] Let this be the Jubilee for the enslaved. YOU set captives free in YOUR perfect timing. I lift us each of these entrapped individuals, their traffickers, tormentors, pimps and clients to YOU. I pray that YOU protect the innocent, bring conviction to their abusers and deliver as many as YOU are willing before Christmas 2021. Mobilize counselors to enable the enslaved to be free from self-loathing and return these people to stable homes. ‘And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” [Luke 4:17-19 ESV]
I pray for insight, discernment and great listening and negotiating capabilities for honest and trustworthy senators, congressmen, congresswomen, judges, justices, state legislators and governors and mayors, as well as business, industrial, and corporate leaders and CEOs around the world. Bless each with endurance to stand firm for justice for all, personal responsibility, and the basic inalienable rights of freedom to speak, write, assemble and worship. ‘But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.’ [James 1:22-25 ESV]
I pray that you and I heed the admonition of the LORD about responsibilities associated with freedom in Christ.
