Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. I know I could not continue to do what I do for the Red Cross without enthusiasm. It just doesn't happen. Workshops fall flat, people are not motivated to do their best and things just seem to be on "autopilot"
Sometimes we have to give ourselves a pep talk and that's okay. It's hard to be up and enthusiastic at the same level all the time. So when you start to lag in this area, take a break, do something fun, do self care and get yourself going again. No one wants to follow an unenthusiastic leader.

I pray for peace in the midst of their storms and the ability to sleep peacefully for each of the manic, clinically depressed, wracked with pain, and terminally ill and those who love and care for them tonight, dear LORD. YOU know how much each of us can bear and YOU strengthen us by challenges and testing. 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.' [John 14:27 ESV]
I lift the individuals whose nerves and nervous system are damaged to the point they can no longer feel any sensation in their limbs to YOU LORD – including advanced diabetics and other neuralgias. YOU designed us with a significant capability to heal. By YOUR grace, YOU heal the vast majority of us through our own lymphatic system and supporting systems. I pray that YOU give each one of these individuals and those who love and care for them with eyes to see and ears to hear YOU to help protect them from infection and loss of limbs. ‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.’ [Deuteronomy 32:39 ESV]
Thank YOU, LORD for cleansing our desires and passions. YOU know what is best for each of us individually and corporately and YOU purge us of all that is detrimental. By YOUR grace YOU bless us with desires which YOU fulfill in YOUR perfect timing. YOU build passion in us for what is noble, right and true. ‘But that is not the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.’ [Ephesians 4:20-24 ESV]
Thank YOU, LORD for YOUR atonement and healing each of us from the penalty for sin. Nobody deserves YOUR mercy or grace. YOU elected each of us who are YOURS for YOUR perfect reason. ‘Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. [Isaiah 53:4-6 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.

No doubt your enthusiasm waxes and wanes [when sleeping]. I expect you are passionate about the health, welfare and safety of those closest to you in proximity as well as relationship. I hope you are grateful for the passion that Jesus the Christ went though for our sakes [all others] in the crucifixion. ‘But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.’ [Galatians 6;14 ESV] my brother-in-Christ TSgt George Rodriguez.
I pray for peace in the midst of their storms and the ability to sleep peacefully for each of the manic, clinically depressed, wracked with pain, and terminally ill and those who love and care for them tonight, dear LORD. YOU know how much each of us can bear and YOU strengthen us by challenges and testing. 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.' [John 14:27 ESV]
I lift the individuals whose nerves and nervous system are damaged to the point they can no longer feel any sensation in their limbs to YOU LORD – including advanced diabetics and other neuralgias. YOU designed us with a significant capability to heal. By YOUR grace, YOU heal the vast majority of us through our own lymphatic system and supporting systems. I pray that YOU give each one of these individuals and those who love and care for them with eyes to see and ears to hear YOU to help protect them from infection and loss of limbs. ‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.’ [Deuteronomy 32:39 ESV]
Thank YOU, LORD for cleansing our desires and passions. YOU know what is best for each of us individually and corporately and YOU purge us of all that is detrimental. By YOUR grace YOU bless us with desires which YOU fulfill in YOUR perfect timing. YOU build passion in us for what is noble, right and true. ‘But that is not the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.’ [Ephesians 4:20-24 ESV]
Thank YOU, LORD for YOUR atonement and healing each of us from the penalty for sin. Nobody deserves YOUR mercy or grace. YOU elected each of us who are YOURS for YOUR perfect reason. ‘Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. [Isaiah 53:4-6 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.
