Good morning Col Burroughs. Too many of us are dragging around emotional baggage that weighs us down and keeps us from enjoying and participating fully in life. If that describes you, you don't have to be that person. You can make a choice to let go of past hurts and pain and enjoy what life has to offer. It may not be easy but it is a worthwhile effort and you don't have to do it alone.

I have way to many things from my past that I have never been able to let go of from my earliest memories at three years old. I have tried but it always comes back. If only it were easy to let go and I could have done this when I was young, how would my life had turned out? I will never know but I do believe everything happens for a reason (most of the time we never know why) and in the end most things work out for the best. That is the only way I have found to deal with life.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Time to dump the excess emotional baggage for sure Charlie. Thanks for the great quotes and your wisdom...
"We can learn from past emotions and we can be held in the past or even haunted by them. No matter what your emotional state is today, try to live in the present and discard the past emotions holding you back from achieving your goals and objectives. If you've learned to suppress past emotions, then you’re in great a place today and looking forward to the future. May your past emotion never hold you back; may you always move forward with the best positive attitude in life; may you always take very good care of yourself through exercising your mind, body, and soul; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Energy clearing — let go of the past emotions!" — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good R.E.D. Friday Burroughs' Posse Leader from an overcast day in the Greater Boston Area where it is currently 60° with 78% humidity and winds ESE 6 mph... It is not expected to get much higher than 63° today... I have to rework my entire Home Network, including installing a new high speed Gateway...I've been losing internet connectivity on several devices and need to stabilize all my network devices... So, I will be on, then off again for most of the day... I hope your day is better than mine, Mike! Back shortly for a try at today's quote topic... “Past Emotions Day!” Why Not?
My Personal Quote:
"We are a species who live with strong emotions, both positive and negative. Some have been able to aptly handle the two sides... But wait! what about those who cannot or will not manage their emotions whether they be past or current... Decisions made on the basis of emotion will not flourish for long, but when managed, emotions can be a driver of good lasting decisions, if one but weighs all the factors involved in a none emotional way." - Kerry F. Harkins, October 23, 2020
1) " Don’t bother trying to explain your emotions. Live everything as intensely as you can and keep whatever you felt as a gift from God. The best way to destroy the bridge between the visible and invisible is by trying to explain your emotions." - Paulo Coelho
2) "And can you teach your body emotionally what it would feel like to believe in this way . . . to be empowered . . . to be moved by your own greatness . . . to be invincible . . . to have courage . . . to be in love with life . . . to feel unlimited . . . to live as if your prayers are already answered? . . .” ― Joe Dispenza
It is acutely important that...
“Misunderstood or unchecked past emotions can sink leadership potential. Learn to push any past hurt away and manage your emotions.”— COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Sgt John H. - That is exactly right, because we all like positive memories more so than negative, so we retain the positive...

Sgt (Join to see) - Running a couple of days late, took a little break from RallyPoint while me and the wifes spent some quality time together Kerry. Your personal quote was "spot on" brother and thanks for the additonal MEMEs/Quotes my friend. Hope you have a great Sunday... it is snowing here right now Kerry...

Warriors for Life - Oct 24, 2020
When we free ourselves from our past emotions, we no longer have to fear our triggers because we have let the emotions go.
Sgt (Join to see) - By the way we had an awesome session Saturday night with Warriors for Life (WFL) as PO3 (Join to see) walked us through his battle with his emotion past and how he became a survivor my friend.

Too often I have let my emotions cloud my judgment. Looking back I have also realized there were times I needed to let my emotions rule. It is a fine line leaders have to walk
