Here is an interesting article which brings a question to mind. What is the status of ISIS fighters? As they do not belong to any State or country, they are not soldiers. Would they be considered belligerents? Basically nothing more than an armed street gang or do they have status on the battlefield? What do you think?

I believe they are international terrorists and should be classified that to any UN member nation.

SGT Jim Arnold - we could make it an event... chum the waters from 1100 to 1200 and open the beach at 1215. think of it. we could sell tickets, open a betting counter and bet on which one gets to feed the indigenous wildlife first. Then there could be a concession industry as well... Jim I think you are on to something here

I think if they are foreigners fighting on foreign soil without a uniform the conventional legal classification is "spy". Heh, heh, heh, with all of the rights and privileges thereunto deserved.

LTC (Join to see) - I think they fit the legal description. If you are a combatant captured on foreign soil without a uniform, you are classified as a "spy". Just saying, if the shoe fits...handle it.

Treat them as Guerrillas and hostile. As they are not American citizens I really don't care what happens to them, as long as we do NOT end up with them here.
