The Turks are looking for any excuse. They hate the Kurds and kill as many and as frequently as possible

President Erdogan has also made it an official policy to arrest anyone who protests against the already ongoing invasion in Afrin. Journalists can't talk about it without being arrested, even the top ten board members of the Turkish Medical Association were arrested for putting out a statement against it. Turkey is quickly devolving into a full blown dictatorship.

Wouldn’t be the first time. The Kurds are our better allies in the region, and their path could be justcthat for ourselves.

I am ashamed at our treatment of the Kurds. They were loyal allies on more than one occasion and we broke our promises to them every time

It's very aggravating having to watch from the sidelines here. The Kurdish people have been subjected to chemical weapons by Saddam, slavery by ISIS, and ethnic cleansing by the Syrians and Turks, and we've done very little to help them against anyone but ISIS. These people need a land of their own, or they will never be safe from tyrants like Assad or Erdogan.
