Out of curiosity, anyone want to confess they’re a foreign agent or ISIS operative?

Seriously.

Sounds flippant, I know, but I’m curious if anyone has the guts to honestly admit it. I don't expect it, but who knows, right?

It’s a forgone conclusion that our battlefield and geopolitical adversaries are active on social media. We might not see it, but we are vaguely aware you're here. Besides, it never hurts to ask.

I know sites like this try to vet its members, but an American military/veteran social media platform would be just too juicy a target for our adversaries to ignore; vetting or no. There’s simply no way you’re not here, monitoring and/or active on the site.

(This would be a good time to remind everyone about the importance of OPSEC on social media. Carry on.)

So, my challenge to you: If you’re really a foreign agent, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabaab, or represent any other a-hole group, go ahead, tell us. Stand and be recognized. Totally blow our minds that you were really a secret agent of a foreign adversary all along! It’s okay, you can just come back under a new pseudonym (as if you wouldn’t anyway). To be fair, you'll lose any RP points accumulated thus far, but I'm sure it'd be worth it.

We already know that ISIS and those types are spineless dogs that like to take cheap shots and then scoot. It's things like this that make me so wary of those anonymous and unverified members. A lot of those people are the ones that post so many inflammatory things. I mean... I'm not saying, I'm just saying..

Very fair statement. Hadn't thought about that, but that's an interesting observation. I would suspect some of the more sophisticated fakers--probably state sponsored--are good enough to go through verification, but that's pure speculation on my part.

specially since each and everyone of us are trained to be aware of our surrounding. knowing who we are speaking to and what information should be shared with certain people. I may miss something that they post, but I just ignore any anonymous post and rarely converse with any non-verified members.

Lol, retraining and exile for those who confess, promotion for those who do not.

Hmm, I don't know. If it were me, I'd find it both cheeky to fuss up, and happy to show off, knowing I could come back as someone else and do it all over again.

My sense of humor could be a bit..."off" however.
;-)

That said, if by some snowball's chance in hell someone does come out and say "Yep, I fooled you, I work for ___ and thanks for the intel!", we (and the site admins) might not find if funny. Enlightening perhaps, but not too funny.
