The Only Time I have a Problem with snakes is when I almost step on them and do that weird surprise jump over them, Or when they try and get into the Boat when I'm Fishing, That Usually warrants a Through Lashing with My Fishing Pole.

Capt Gregory Prickett: Depends on the type of rattlesnake. The Mojave is one evil mofo to deal with. It will actually come after you when you are far enough away from it whereas most other rattlers will just move on. Watched one come after my husband from 45' away, was in no danger, and that was one nasty snake. After he killed it, we called our friend who's a herptologist because we had no idea what it was. Mojaves are generally not seen in Arizona, except over near Yuma. Thanks to climate change, they are headed in our direction and mating with diamondbacks. Lovely.

Sgt (Join to see) I was stationed at NSGD Sugar Grove, WV for 4 Years Place is Stupid with Timber Rattlers. I used to Ride 35 Miles of Bike Trails in Johnson County, KS I Always Felt Sorry for the Snakes that Were Little More than Speed Bumps Under My Racing Wheels on My Schwinn or the Knobby Wheels on My Mongoose.
