I remember sticking my head out of a 110 Howitzer to drive it around Germany during peace time. What a thrill to feel the power of that machine in your hands. Bulldoze in to steady up support getting ready to shoot a 200 pound projectile 20 miles down range. I was one of the lucky ones, I got to feel the power of war machines without ever having to shoot at real people.
