When will the majority rule over the mob rule?

Atlanta, GA.
31 shot, including an 8 year old, none by cops. The reason “defunding the police” mantra is so popular is because it makes for an easy scapegoat to point to and shirk personal responsibility. If you think you stand a higher chance (of any color) being killed by cops than other criminals (or getting struck by lightening) the problem isn’t “the system” it’s your inability to reason well or a refusal to accept the truth when it doesn’t fit a pop culture narrative?

Gary Hadden, well said. We need to restore the concept of personal responsibility. The kids that were given participation trophies and socially promoted in grade school are now young adults. They don't have a good concept of self reliance and personal responsibility for their lives. When they complete their student years and reality hits them they revert to the way they were trained. They become victims. Victims aren't responsible for their own shortcomings. Victims need somebody else to rely on for their pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. Big Government is only too happy to take on that responsibility in exchange for giving up their personal freedoms. Unfortunately Big Government creates more problems than it solves. If fact it intentionally creates problems that don't really exist so they can attempt to solve them by exercising more power. Think war on poverty, war on drugs, ACA and Medicade expansion.

The best way out is to embrace the principles of the founders embodied in the US Constitution. Powers not specifically given to the Federal Government are reserved for the States and the People. The revolution we need isn't blindly stumbling into Marxism with the Black Lives Matter crowd. We need to reclaim the glory of the rights in the Bill of Rights, recognize the benefits of a free capitalist economy to improve life for all, and understand the number of people who love and value the United States is still greater than those who hate it. Those of us who truly love our Country must speak up. Use our freedom of speech to support political candidates who have views similar to our own. Volunteer to campaign for those candidates at the local, state, and national level. Take back the school board, the mayor's office, replace the city council with people who understand freedom, and vote for State and Federal office-seekers who support the Constitution and personal freedom with responsibility.

All claiming under the “BLM” premise and expecting reparations are simply racist towards others. They just did not want to accept their social responsibility as well. As a double minority (black latino/puertorrican) myself, even that I’ve been marginalized by other races that at a moment were ruling places I have lived no one have stopped me from reaching my goals. Through determination, consistency, dedication and hard work, I have earned my place. So it’s not about disparity, is about not been willing to do the work. Going back to the defund the police, news media have mislead ignorant and uneducated public to sell a story. Law Enforcement need more funding to provide better training, innovative tools and programs to work collectively with the communities. It is every American’s responsibility to do our part for the betterment of our country!

The majority hasn't yet found its voice and the squeaky wheel gets oiled. Well, those are the easy answers. The real issue is that the mob is the voice of someone else, someone who also owns the media (popular and news) that amplifies the voice of the mob
