I pray that you and I have confidence in God and HIS Word and we leverage that faith in imparting lessons to the young in our life to build their own confidence, my friend and brother-in-Christ Maj Robert Thornton .
LORD YOU gave us YOUR Word in written form and preserved it throughout the ages so that each generation can learn from YOU and gain wisdom each time we read YOUR Word.
I pray dear GOD that each one of YOUR adopted children has gleaned knowledge and wisdom from YOU. Empower us to train up the young in age as well as the young in faith to have confidence in YOUR Word and learn how to discern truth from error.
Give new parents confidence in caring for and raising their infants into toddlers. Give each couple insight into how their child is bent and how to train up that child with the grain and against the grain.
I pray that YOU restore families and relationships and build accountability and trust. I lift up the abused to YOU LORD and pray that YOU build them up and bring trustworthy people into their lives. Restore the years the locusts have eaten.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Mikel! I really like your comments. You are quite right. There is a great difference between confidence and arrogance. Being confident means you have set a goal and know where you're going. Arrogance is thinking you know while showing others what you really don't know. Have a great day.

Good morning Rally Point and Happy Monday COL Mikel J. Burroughs
Even my computer is behaving like it is Monday (sigh). However, I will persevere.
Self confidence is a tool anyone can add to their toolbox of skills. It is a matter of changing your attitude. When I get up to do a presentation, I feel the same nervous feelings as anyone else. I have learned to tell myself that this is positive, that this "energy" can be used to fuel my speech, bring energy and an upbeat manner into the room. It works, time after time and so now I have learned to expect and welcome those "butterflies" as part of my confidence that all will be well.
Do you speak and act with confidence? What advice can you share?
