My current role is to bring violence to the enemies of America based on whatever current administration's political objectives are. AN Tim Rafferty - I would like to think so. That said however, if I put myself into the shoes of his men, knowing the kind of war they were fighting, it's somewhat understandable what they did. I am NOT saying it was in any way justified ... only that when soldiers have no clear grasp of the mission, with often incorrect rules of engagement, things can go haywire very quickly.
That said, LT. Calley and his men should all have landed in Ft Leavenworth's DB.
