Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs and hopefully you are having a good weekend. Education is an interesting topic. I will attempt to stay out of the political discussion and keep to the . practical and philosophical. An education, once achieved is something that no one can take away from you. I am a voracious reader as is my spouse. I find it not just entertaining but a way to find out facts and information I need for daily life. Once you "learn to learn" there is no stopping you. The local librarians know me; if I miss a week, they remark on it. Learning is exercise for your brain; when you stop your thoughts get lazy just like your body does when you don't work out. But like exercise for your body you should vary what you read/learn so that you are as well "rounded" intellecturally as you are physically fit.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - if you can believe it, the current Governor, Jay Inslee is even worse! It appears that the Democrats love every tax they impose on us because somehow they insulated themselves from their affect on themselves, like giving themselves a pay raise in secret session at night, behind closed doors.

That little tid bit of information often makes a huge difference in life. My problem now is that as a, ahem, senior (ish) citizen is remembering. One important thing I learned is discernment. Is it important, doe's it need immediate action, will it benefit others too, is it the right thing to do ?
