Well the only thing different is your knowledge. He is the same guy as he was yesterday,

I say make everyone uncomfortable - when you take a shower sing really loud "I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls or just imagine everyone is naked - Oh wait that one is for public speaking.

PO3 Dale S. - No, you took showers with homosexuals and just didn't know it at the time. Since the reliable statistic is that some 3 percent of the population is either homosexual or bisexual, and you have been in the situation that required you to share public bathing facilities, I would count it as almost a statistical certainty that you showered with a homosexual. Those odds increase if you were a high school or college athlete.

I wouldn't worry so much - last I heard it isn't contagious.

SSG (Join to see) what if the female is a lesbian and the male is heterosexual? It seems these co-ed taboos are more based on gender and not sexual orientation.

it is obviously quite noticeable to be showering with someone of the opposite sex, not the opposite sexual orientation. Unless they are grabbing for your package, carry on soldier.

Gay dudes don't want a straight dude that isn't interested. Men showering with women isn't equivalent because both parties could hypothetically be interested. Men shower with men. They are still MEN. Don't take that away from them.

Don't focus on it. Get in and get out. You've showered with homosexuals before. People who prefer the same sex don't want every person who is of the same sex.

I don't personally care if I take a shower with someone is homosexual or not. As has been said I take a shower and go about my business. However, this defense struck a chord with me as it a strange thing to say. Everyone person of the opposite sex doesn't want every person of the opposite sex either yet we can't shower together.

That sounds like some real old school train of thought to me. Most gay people are not even going to look at you unless you are gay. they have no interest in seeing your jink unless you are sending out mixed signals to them. Do you look at every women you see and say man I would love to see her naked. Is this the reason you feel every gay guy wants to see you naked ? I am just curious as to why so much insecurity thinking all these gay soldiers who may save your life someday want to check you out in the shower. The reason why guys can not shower with women to be blunt is proven every day in America with the amount of rapes that take place. When was last time ( besides in prison) you have heard a news story about a gay person raping another gay person ?

the opposite sex argument is some really stupid stuff. I mean seriously looking at somebody with different parts than you is obviously different than being looked at by someone with the same parts. Who cares if someone glances over anyhow? Do you walk in to the shower with a blindfold as to not accidentally see someone else, and get accused of being gay? Hell, if someone wants to check me out, whatever, not like I am acting on it.

CW3 (Join to see) - Wow, having served in an Infantry unit, I'm going to have to dispute that statement. There were several men in my platoon that firmly believed that there were no ugly women after 10PM. As far as that goes, a couple of my running buddies before I joined had the same opinion.
