Doesn't it seem like this should be a very easy thing to fix? When my friend's father passed, we had to immediately file paperwork with the govt to end SS. Seems to me, when SS is discontinued due to death, they should automatically be taken off the voter rolls.

The problem in most cases is the county's Board of Elections are removing deceased folks nor cross-referencing the lists.

Big issue is integrating Federal systems with State systems. SS is ran federally, but voter registrations are ran by either state level or county (depends on state).

If SS could speak to the State systems, it would remove them, but they probably do not have anything in place to achieve that goal.
