A U.S. Navy veteran and his family received a mortgage-free home in Bethlehem on Friday thanks to a national non-profit organization.
Operation Homefront and Chase teamed up to give the operation’s 500th home to U.S. Navy Petty Officer Second Class Andrew Friedlander (ret.) and his family, who were given the keys Friday to their new home, donated by Chase, in a subdivision near the Apalachee High cluster. They were welcomed by numerous members of the community in addition to representatives from the two organizations.

I know of a family that received a house through a foundation similar to this and while the house looked great inside and out after living in it for a few weeks things started going bad with the house... leaks, sheetrock not nailed properly, floors buckling, AC not working. I wonder why they put our Veterans in houses like this?
And this is not a new house so settling won't cover all these issues.
