Our politicians pretty much left their hands off our military for the last 250 years. No more. Very sad state of affairs. MNO

I am a huge fan of meritocracy within the military. Best person for the job. Degree of skin pigmentation is irrelevant...focus on the demands (JMETS) and discover who is great at it and has the potential for greater responsibility and promote them. Diversity of perspective is valuable because it is smart to look at any problem with several diverse craniums. I have never found diversity of skin pigmentation to be helpful. Stick to mission requirements, find the best, and promote.
