Will I have to pay back my bonus if my husband gets relocated to a different state and I relocate with him as a member of the NG?

I haven’t received my bonus yet but will be soon. I will be 3 years in with the first half of my bonus. I just don’t know how I would need to go about the situation and don’t know if I should even receive the bonus because of not knowing if I would have to pay it back.

Best thing to do is talk to the retention NCO, he may have an answer for you on the subject.

1. If the NG/State changes then you might have to remit or lose the bonus. 2. What is in your contract?. 3. Talk to your recruiter.

As a NG Soldier, your bonus is obligated to your state contract. If you transfer there is a big chance of repayment. You should consult with your unit admin/retention.
