Just for info. "Premises open to the public" are private areas owned by the business. Parking violations, at least in Oregon, do not apply. Like everything there are some exceptions. Parking in a disabled zone for instance is a state law where a citation can be issued. The rest of the parking lot is "suggested" parking a travel.

As a Law Enforcement Officer if the car is in Park it is considered Parked, whether or not you are with the car.
But if I happened to roll by this scene in a patrol vehicle, I would throw on the lights and help the Vet load the groceries after I told that fat ass to move along before I arrested him for disturbing the peace

CPL Harold Mundstock - As a disabled vet myself, I would do the same commenting in support of another who needs to have some help in some way ! Besides it sounds like this [excuse my language]"ASS" who comments just to hear himself and is probably a very insecure, lonely person himself! Cutting a couple rungs off his high, selfish ladder might do some good! This country needs a lot of reshaping when it comes to common courtesy! Not taught as good policy it seems!

I agree however what I am saying holds true. For instance California will not be the same as Virginia or Massachusetts or Washington State. Me, I would be helping the vet.

PO2 Richard C. - A friend(former Marine) and I were going into Publix one day for a sub for lunch and a lady almost ran over us trying to a handicap parking spot. She jumped out, note jumped out and started yelling at us for blocking the handicap parking spot, my buddy looked at her and casually replied, "I didn't realize being a fat ass qualifies for a disability". My respect for him increased a thousand fold.. She was stunned..Sandwich tasted real good that day..
