How to correct your DD214 and other military records
I was showing my Grandson my ribbons and DD214 and noticed that my CMB was not on the DD214 .. nor was my Jump Wings. Now I know that the DD214 is banged out by a clerk/typist at the ETS station and know that errors can happen. So I did some research and discovered that a mechanism exist for issues like this.
So I filled out a DD Form 149 and sent it off to the Army Review Boards Agency .. and waited. But only for about 10 days!
I received a full letter of review and a DD215 with not only the changes requested but two additional ribbons to boot!
So if you think your DD214 has some holes in it .. go get it corrected!

Great info. I need to take action myself. I have three separate DD 214s, and a few errors.

I had a similar experience, found out years after separation that a new award had been authorized, Korean Defense Medal, and my first unit had been issued a Viet Namese Presidential unit citation, filed a request and received a DD215 update a few month later. Subsequently I found that I was short changed campaign stars for my Viet Nam Service Medal, filed another request and received a second DD215 not only adding the campaign stars but also added an Air Force Longevity ribbon.
I was worth the short amount of time to fill out the requests.

Think I could add adjust the awards on mine? I was put in for an MSM, but got an ARCOM. With the magic of white out, I could rectify this travesty.
