Thank you my friend Maj Marty Hogan. The best approaches compared National Debt to GDP since the GDP is an indicator of productivity and that is what helps keep the dollar strong on the world market.
Needless to say it takes time to calculate federal debt and GDP accurately.
One things that seems certain is that the first $20 trillion debt was obligated prior to Donald Trump being President. The $1 trillion debt that has ben added under his watch can be attributed to him even as the previous $10 trillion of national debt was incurred under former POTOS Obama watch. When he came into office the national debt was approximately $10 trillion and it grew to approximately $20 trillion by the time he left office..
