Sunday, February 4, 2018 - Motivation Quotes for the Day! Good Morning Everyone! Happy Sunday to all!
Today is: "Our American Flag Day!" Why Not?
"I stand and I salute because of the men & women that continue to sacrifice for our country as a sign of respect for the unfurled stars and stripes proudly flying above this nation & to honor those that gave all and those yet to fall under its grace and majesty protecting our freedom." — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
The Quote in the Picture Today Reads: "Our flag honors those who have fought to protect it, and is a reminder of the sacrifice of our nation's founders and heroes. As the ultimate icon of America's storied history, the Stars and Stripes represents the very best of this nation. — Joe Barton
"When we honor our flag we honor what we stand for as a Nation - freedom, equality, justice, and hope." — Ronald Reagan
"The flag does not fly because of the wind that blows it. The flag flies because each soldier's last breath blows by it." — Unknown Author
"To survive in peace and harmony, united and strong, we must have one people, one nation, one flag." — Pauline Hanson
"I believe our flag is more than just cloth and ink. It is a universally recognized symbol that stands for liberty, and freedom. It is the history of our nation, and it's marked by the blood of those who died defending it." — John Thune
"Sure I wave the American flag. Do you know a better flag to wave? Sure I love my country with all her all her faults. I'm not ashamed of that, never have been, never will be." — John Wayne
"Off with your hat, as the flag goes by!
And let the heart have its say;
You're man enough for a tear in your eye
That you will not wipe away." — Henry Cuyler Bunner

Good morning COL. This one hits me pretty hard. Every day is American Flag Day to me. The disrespect bestowed upon our Flag and our National Anthem is unacceptable....It is not just the Football Field either as we have all read in the papers and seen on the news, people from all walks of life think the American Flag is just a piece of cloth.....To me it is the cloth of a Nation, God Bless the U.S.A..........BTW, how much do I love our flag?...put your cursor over the logo and Picture at the top of the American Flag Page and you will have your answer.. Have a fine American Sunday...I haven't all year except for the playoff game in Foxboro, however I think I will watch the Patriots win back to backs this evening.Have a fine Sunday everyone

Alan K. - I'm working on getting a $300 remote control flag pole put up in my new yard, but I've got to get HOA permission (sad isn't it). I'll get there and I'll send you a picture brother. Ditto on everything you said above. It means everything to me and what I served 37 years for from age 17 and what I continue to serve my veterans for Alan! God Bless the USA!

I have a 30' telescoping flagpole in my front yard. After many attempts to find solar lights that would illuminate it properly, I found one that looks like a small flying saucer, that fits on top and replaces the top ball. The top of the disc collects the sun, and there are about five LEDs that project downward, and light it up well ! Mine was the first flagpole of any kind in the development, and now they are starting to appear everywhere. Incidentally I fly a US Army flag beneath the American flag, and this summer, a fellow down the street erected a pole, and flies a USMC flag. We ride each other good-hardily, but we are the only proud brother vets in the community.
