Good “Tuesday!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader from the now crystal clear deep blue skies of the Greater Boston area... It is just a gorgeous day so far! LOL! I am working my IT job this morning, so will be more off than on RP... My response will probably be provided in pieces, so I ask your indulgence...

It is: “Rock Day!” Brothers and Sisters - Where do you all stand on being Rock solid today?

MY PERSONAL QUOTE: Just added... 11:14 AM EDT

"In life, one must choose a foundation, direction, attitude, and a goal. Those who build on a solid foundation move ever forward toward success and happiness. Those who build on foundation of sand soon find a crumbling unstable path. Choose wisely my friends." Kerry F. Harkins - May 11, 2021

"No one is going to hand me success. I must go out and get it myself. That's why I'm here. To dominate. To conquer. Both the world, and myself." - Unknown

"Discipline is in fact the key that unlocks success and attracts opportunity." - David Khalil

"Develop success from failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success." - Dale Carnegie

"Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude." - Thomas Jefferson

"Six essential qualities that are the key to success: Sincerity, personal integrity, humility, courtesy, wisdom, charity." - William Menninger

"Don't limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve." - Mary Kay Ash

"Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing." - Abraham Lincoln

and remember...

"If you want to excel as a leader then be rock solid – lead in the midst of difficult times and gain admiration through actions!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect your character is rock solid and your foundation is rooted in the LORD. No doubt you have led those you lead and rely on you through challenging times. I hope and pray that you and I continue to demonstrate respect for each person we interact with in good and challenging times. Challenging times test our mettle and bring our character to the forefront. ‘we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.’ [Romans 5:3b-5 ESV] my brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see).

I pray for sufficient endurance and stamina as we lead and guide through the challenging times with grace for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or hears it dear LORD. I thank YOU LORD for the fruit of the Spirit goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness. Help us to lean on YOU as we lead and guide others. I pray that YOU enable us to remember WHO YOU are and how and what YOU have brought us through. By YOUR grace YOU prepare us for what we will face through challenges of body, mind & soul; exhortations, and admonitions in YOUR Word. ‘Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.’ [Psalm 23:4-5 ESV]
I lift the police, sheriff’s and federal and state agents through this nation and their family members to YOU LORD. I pray for a significant increase of support for those charged with keeping the peace. I pray that YOU use each of us to demonstrate respect for our neighbors and others we interact with. Help us to be peacemakers and better listeners to not only reduce conflicts but increase good will in the neighborhoods. I pray for a peaceful and enjoyable summer for each of us and those we love. I pray that YOU do what is necessary to dampen tensions in cities. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.’ [Matthew 5:9 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members slept well Tuesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Wednesday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. The sun is out here in Northern Virginia on this Tuesday morning.
I like this quote as it applies as much to good leadership as it does to good parenting; either way, the ones in charge have to set and hold to standards. It helps to be firm in your values when things get difficult or unclear. Stick to what you know is right. Be firm, be rock solid in your beliefs but flexible in your execution of them.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Great message about parenting this morning Charlie. Solid as a rock as always...have a great Tuesday...

“Solid as a rock, rock solid, built on a rock foundation, hitting rock bottom, or rock someone’s world with our inspiration are some of the many different meanings that the message of ‘rock’ can take on. That reminds me of this quote for today…

‘Be solid like a rock to withstand the adversity. Be fludic like a river to find the righteous path. And be a storm to rise all above the bulls**t!’ — Author Unknown

May you always be that solid rock that people depend on as a leader and have the character that is an inscription in rock; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Be as firm and solid as a rock.” – COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
